"Lunds historie", p. 295 claims that Leiel Bjørnsen Haukland had a son named Ole Leielsen, who is mentioned in 1756. It is likely that this claim is based on a misreading of the sources, and that the claim may be based on a confusion with his son-in-law Ole Steinarsen who is mentioned in the probate after Peder Leielsen, dated 01-03-1757. A son named Ole Leielsen was certainly not alive at the time of that probate.

Gift med Berte Bjørnsdtr. f.1681, 77 år 1758, datter av Bjørn Besseson Osen. Barn:
- Bjørn Leielson Haukland, f.1709.
- Peder Leielson Haukland, bnr.4.
- Karl Leielson (se denne), bodde på Hauklandsmoen, leiet jord. G.m. Todne Stålesdtr. Skjeggestad.
- Kirsti Leielsdtr., g.m. Ole Stenersen Haukland.
- Kari, f.1718, 40 år i 1759, ugift.
- Todne, f. 1727, gravlagd 12.3.1757. Skifte 28.3 samme år. Ugift. I hennes garderobe fantes bl.a. en kåpe, helt uvant på landsbygden i de dager.
