Leila C. Olin was born at the old home near Earlville, Ohio, October 8th, 1860. Her school days were mostly spent in the old school-house there, under the instruction of her cousin, O. F. Haymaker. After the removal of her mother to Kent, she there attended the high school until she completed the course. Concerning her the following notice appeared in a Kent paper printed in 1884:
"On Tuesday, January 1st, at 8 o'clock in the evening, at the home of the bride on East Main street. Miss Leila Olin was married to Walter Denham Logan, of Bellevue, Penn. Rev. Edward Morris officiated, and only the immediate friends of the bride and groom were present to witness the ceremony. On Wednesday they left for their future home, followed by the kind wishes of many friends."
