Lela Floretha Graham

Floretha was born in Loop, Texas. The Gardner family had moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in January 1924 then to Loop, Texas in the fall of 1924. In the summer of 1925, after Floretha was born, the family moved to Nolan County near Roscoe and picked cotton.

Floretha was living at home with her parents in Deming, New Mexico in the early 1940's.

Floretha met Ed Graham in Santa Barbara, California. Floretha had gone to visit her brother, Bill while he was in the Marines and stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station in Santa Barbara.

Floretha and Ed married in 1944. They married in Santa Barbara, California and made their home in California. They raised seven children. They lived most of their married life in Apple Valley, California. Ed was a truck driver and away from home a lot.

Floretha died of pancreatic cancer in 1993. She is buried in Desert View Memorial Park Cemetery in Apple Valley, California. Ed died in 1996 and he is also buried in the Desert View Memorial Park Cemetery.
