2024-05-27 - Shared by Shelly Staats Galke: As we were visiting the cemetery, I had a woman ask if she could share a story with me. It was about Gpa Leo and Gma Daisy.
The woman was a dishwasher at the local Cafe. She said that she was going back to school and raising her 4 boys alone. Gma and Gpa would eat at the Cafe often. Each time leaving this woman a tip. Just for her. aid She shared how she loved and appreciated Leo and Daisy; their generosity and encouragement. With tears of appreciation in her voice she shared that she thinks of them often.
What a gift God gave that day, visiting my Grandparents headstone. My grandparents legacy shared with strangers and family alike.
