Leola Elizabeth "Dodie" Bias Stalker

Former coast resident Leola Stalker died on Jan. 18, 2006 in Fernley, Nev. Born on Jan. 14, 1920 in Fort Smith, Ark., to John and Margret Bias, she was 86.

She moved to Fort Bragg in 1989 and was in the Grandmother program at Redwood Elementary School for several years. She moved to Fernley in 2003 to be closer to her son.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and DeEtte Newton of Fernley; daughter, Margret Patterson of Marble Hill, MO.; and sister, Agnes Middleton of Fort Bragg. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she was so proud of, and always had a picture of one ready to show you. She was most loved and will be greatly missed.

There will be a memorial service at the Fernley Community Center, Saturday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.
