Leonard Leon Cannon

Leonard Cannon was born on the farm on Burnett Road, in Brimfield Township, Ohio. He attended Brimfield Schools. After Marriage, he purchased a home at Palmyra Center, Portage County, Ohio.

His employment included Gougler Machine, Kent, Ohio, Lamson Sessions, Kent, Ohio and Kent State University. He was also engaged in farming and raised chickens and rabbits. H was interested in organic farming. He and his wife Alice were members of the Grange and active in civic affairs. Alice was also employed at Kent State University in the Food department.

His wife Alice attended Brimfield Grade School, having graduated from the Ninth grade with sister-in-law Lila Mae Cannon. She is industrious with crafts and her family and Portage County Fair. Alice passed on the 16th of March 1990 after a long illness at Akron City Hospital. Services were at Bethel Baptist Church of Ravenna, Ohio. Rev Eagle.

Leonard spent his latter years at Jane Francis Rest Home after major physical damage from a stroke.
