Leonard Bert Shipley

L. Bert Shipley, 80, died May 8, 995 at his home.

He was born May 10, 1914 in Riverdale, Weber County, Utah, a son of Moroni J. and Annie Adele Bingham Shipley.

He married Doris Murphy on June 29, 1946 in Evanston, WY,

He had resided in Riverdale and Roy before moving to Corinne, where he lived for 44 years.

He farmed, with his father, worked for Ogden Arsenal, UTOCO, and was owner/operator of Murph's Inn with his wife for 22 years.

He is survived by his wife (now deceased), two children; Hope (Terry) Welch, North Salt Lake, UT; Alan Bert (Mary Jo Cutler) Shipley, Arlington, TX; seven grandchilren and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by five sisters; Lynette Walton, Louise Schmalz, Marian Sparrow (all 3 since deceased), Hazel Flewelling and Genevieve Craig.

Funeral services were held at Olsen-Myers Morturay in Brigham City.

Interment was in the Corinne City Cemetary.
