Biography

Leonid HORVATH was born on July 27, 1834 in Odesa, Odessa Oblast, Ukraine. His parents were Николай Антонович ХОРВАТ and Lubov Alexandrovna HORVATH (Pischevich).

Born into a family of hereditary nobles of the Kherson province. Father Leonid Nikolaevich Horvat - was the great-grandson of General I. S. Horvat, who stood at the origins of New Serbia.

Mother - Baroness Maria Pilar von Pilhau - one of the daughters of General Karl Pilar von Pilhau, great-granddaughter of General Field Marshal M.I.Kutuzov.

Leonid married Maria HORVATH (Pilar von Pilchau).
Together they had the following children: Dimitri Leonidovitch HORVATH; Vladimir Leonidovitch HORVATH; Catherine (Ekaterina) SMOLSKI (Horvath); Любовь Леонидовна ХОРВАТ; Ольга Леонидовна ХОРВАТ.

He died in London, England (United Kingdom). Suicide.

Some, however, moved farther north and west. Nearly 40% of men on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia carry haplogroup I-M438, and they are also relatively common in the Netherlands and Germany. Finally, they can also be found in Sweden, particularly in the northern province of Vasterbotten, where their ancestors likely arrived with the more recent migration of German and Dutch immigrants during the 17th century.
