About Leonora Russell
Leonora received a fortune under her father's will and married 17 Oct. 1777 Claud Russell, member of the Madras Council; to the memory of her and her husband there is a tablet in Marylebone Church.
the following is from http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/INDIA/2000-04/0957131940 -
"Claud Russell's wife was Leonora Pigot, one of the two illegitimate daughters of Lord Pigot, the Governor of Madras who was later disgraced and died in illegal confinement. The mother of these daughters (but not of Pigot's natural sons, who had a different mother) was Mrs Joanna Eleanor Jackson, wife of Robert Jackson, Naval Captain and Country Trader and daughter of Samuel Hepburn (as explained in a letter to me from the India Office Records, 28 September 1973, citing "Vestiges of Old Madras", vol II, p 489)."
