Leopold Frankfort

I know very little about my maternal grandfather, Leopold Frankfort. From what I know he left my grandmother destitute, with two young children and no one talked about him. I believe that he came to the US with my grandmother and my aunt (my mother's older sister), but while they are listed on board a ship, he is not (probably an error) He was with the family for my mother's birth in 1903, but he is not listed in the 1905 census .He had left before then. Later censuses include him, but I believe these cannot be accurate from what I know.

Ancestry claims to have a naturalization record for Leopold Frankfort, but this my grandmother's Minnie Goldstein Frankfort's. So, I don't know what happened to my grandfather after he left home when my mother, Yetta Frankfort Goldstein was three years old.

From Minnie's naturalization record, Leopold was born in Kukova (formerly Kukemezo) around 1869. From a family tree,it appears that his father's name was Haskel.
