Sgt., served in WWI. 1900 census says he was born in 1893.

In 1930 census, he was the manager of a filling station in NC. His son was born in Ohio in c. 1929, so presumably he lived there and moved back to NC shortly thereafter.
Subjected to mustard gas in the Argonne. Died of a related lung condition.
