Here is a little bit more information I found out about Gladys and Dorthea Erdahl. I thought of the Fessenden - A Centennial History 1893-1993 book that I own.

It states the Levard Quarve married Oline Jaastad and adopted Gladys Erdahl, born Dec. 2, 1902 and Dorthea Erdahl, born on June 15, 1908.

Sigrid Arnston ( Levard's mother) was born in Norway on August 2, 1859. Her husband's name was Timan Levard Quarve. It does not state where in Norway Sigrid was from. Anyway, just thought to add the information that the girls were adopted.
