Levi Buket was born in Perry Coutny, Ohio, Novmeber 17, 1830, and is o neof nine children born to Henry and Catharine (Houts) Burket Rebecc a,Levi, Mary, George, Daniel (Deceased), susan, Ephraim, William and Lucinda. The father was bornin Pennsylvania about the year 1805, has alwaysbe en a farmer, and now lives in Marshall County, Ind. When Levi wasyoung, h is father moved to Sandusky County,Ohio, and there our subjectwas reare d. In 1858, Levi came to this township, and has lived here eversinc e. He was married, August 17,1850, to Agnes Overmyer, who has givenbir th to twelve children George, Catharine, Philip, Amanda, Jane,Frankli n, Austin (deceased), Lucas, Grant, Lucy, Marion and Ida ( thelast nam ed also deceased). Mr. Burket has a fine farm of 160 acres fourand a ha lf miles southwest of Monterey, and has 100 acres of this landclear ed up and under cultivation. __________."

Coroner's Inquest held over the body of Levi Burket at decendents residence in Tippecanoe Twp. Pulaski County, Indiana and continued from day to day until March 17th, 1904, at which time same was closed.

I was sleeping upstairs when mother called me but father died before I got downstairs. I knew he went to Lawton he did not tell me anything about feeling bad. He told me he was bothered about his heart a good de alin this last year. Did not tell me of his being treated by Doctor for heart trouble. Marion Burket. Subscribed and sworn to March 6 04. Did you ever hear grandpa say anything about getting medicine of DoctorKe lsy. I saw Grandpa sit down this winter one time about three weeks ago on account of difficult breathing. He complained of shortness ofbreath .

State of Indiana, Pulaski County, SS: Mrs Agnes Burket, he went to Lawton came back for supper, did not complain of anything went to bed befo reI did, could not lay on right side. he laid his hand over on me was trembling. I said paw what was the matter this was about 8 o'clock in theeve ning.

Had been treated by doctor for heart condition gained health up to thisto mi, was pretty good heart has troubled him for over one year haddiffucu lt breathing, had a smothering spell two weeks ago. I was in bedwith h im at time of his death, I asked him what was the matter and hejust, dr ew one more breath. Age of disciamed 73 Years, 3 monthes, 17days. He nev er had any stomach trouble he seemed to be about as stout asever. he cou ld not do any work on account of heart trouble.

He was at Monterey to see Dr. Kelsey about his heart Wednesday. No oneel se was in the room but me I thought he might die some time of hisheart tr ouble but not so sudden. Thomas, Coroner in and said for the county, after having viewed the body of decedent and after having heard and reviewed theevi dence given at the inquest for Verdict say that the deceased and myverdi ct say that the deceased was Levi Burkett, a resident of TippecanoeTownsh ip, Pulaski county, Indiana and of that he came to his death fromHeart Fa ilure. 4. Pulaski County Democrat, Winamac, Pulaski, Indiana, Thursday, March 10, 1904. "

Levi Burket, an aged resident of Tippecanoe township, was found dead in bed Saturday night. He had gone to bed in his usual health, but later in the night his wife discovered him lifeless. Coronor Thomas, with his son Ray as Clerk, held an inquest, finding apoplexy was the cause of death. His age was seventy three Years, three months, eighteen days. He came toTippecanoe township in 1858, where he lived until his death. He leaves,besi des his wife, several children. the funeral was held at Monterey Tuesday."
