About Levi Forrey Charles
Levi F. Charles, 411 College avenue, died Sunday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock from the effects of a stroke. He was in his 72nd year and was a retired farmer. He was a son of the late Christian and Fanny Forry Charles and for the past five years resided in this city. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lydia Buckwalter Charles, the following children survive: Mrs. S. J. Ervin, Dormont; Howard B., Pittsburgh; Christian B., Donora; Harry I., Meadville; Mrs. Kendig H. Bare, Lancaster; Mrs. Clarence S. Newcomer, Mt. Joy; and J. Leigh, at home. Nine grandchildren and these brothers and sisters also survive: Amos, Lancaster; Christian and Clayton, both of Kreadyville; Mrs. Kate Hoffman, Petersburg; Mrs. Benjamin E. Mann, Kreadyville.
