About Lewis Green, War of 1812 and Missouri Pioneer
Lewis Green was a farmer in Tennessee (now a part of North Carolina) who served in the War of 1812 and was given a warrant for a Bounty Land Claim for lands in Missouri. Lewis and eldest son Noel travelled to the virgin territory of Missouri to use the bounty claim to homestead as pioneers. Lewis remarried to Nancy Morgan.
Lewis Green and his first wife, Martha (parents unknown) had one child, Noel Green.
Lewis Green and his second wife, Nancy Morgan, had eight children.
