Lewis Kent Wood was born on October 5, 1905, in Luling, Guadalupe County, Texas, USA. His parents were Edmund Franklin Wood and 34740807672 Beula Viene Nixon. His maternal grandparents were Captain Robert Thomas Nixon, (CSA) and Frances Amanda Nixon. He was an Engineer Mobile Oil and Refinery.

Lewis married Helen Erica Brown on November 23, 1940, in Massachusetts, Mansfield. Together they had one son and he survives. - Ref [2]
