About Libby Lipp
http://www.waldmanfuneralcare.com/obituary/libby-peck-lipp/
Libby Peck Lipp was born July 3, 1927 in Houston, Texas. She had a dynamic passion for life and never met a stranger. Libby and her husband Harold operated Lipp Cleaners where they worked side by side for many years. Later in life Libby worked at the Jewish Family Service where she used her extensive network of friends to help Jewish immigrants find employment–a job she adored!
Libby loved her family time and beloved social group the Ski A Go Go club which got together once a month for over forty years. Although Libby couldn’t swim, Harold named the family boat the “Leaping Libby” and she never missed a weekend at the lake with her family and friends. Libby was the family cheerleader; she was there for everyone, always on the phone checking in, always making you feel better, a dancer in her early years and a dancer to the end.
A wife, mother, Bubie, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, Libby is predeceased by her loving husband Harold Lipp, brothers Jake and Gilbert Peck, and parents Herman and Elsie Peck.
She is survived by her children Howard and Gaylyn Lipp, Arnold and Candy Lipp, Donald Lipp; Grandchildren Lauren and Steven Davidoff, Dana Lipp, Evan and Jennifer Lipp, Joseph Lipp, Adam and Jamie Lipp, David and Courtney Lipp and Rebecca and Chris Stelzer; Great-Grandchildren Natalie, Ashley and Haley Davidoff, Hudson and Noah Lipp and Molly and Jack Lipp; Sister and brother-in-law Sid and Anna Binder and Sister-in-law Dinah Montgomery.
Thanks to the staff at the Medallion. Thank you Harry Pepper for sharing her last few really good years. Thanks to cousins Mindy and Heather for always looking in on Mom and lifting her spirits. A very special thank you to Candy for her nonstop loving devotion and support and for graciously taking on the lion’s share of the responsibilities the last two difficult years-you were special to her and you made her feel special.
Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:30pm in Beth Yeshurun Allen Parkway cemetery on Allen Parkway at Dunlavy Street. Rabbi David Rosen will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that you honor Libby’s memory by donating to your favorite charity.
