Liddle was given the nameNairn at birth and although he grew up with half brothers and sisters named Sanson he has retained the name Nairn for the major events in his life as shown below.

Liddle was born in 1869. He is the son of Isabella Nairn and father not recorded. [1] Liddle appears to be a family name as I have uncovered past references to it.

He married Willow Harrison Myhill in 1893 and it is likelythey were farmers in the Eltham, Taranaki, New Zealand district as their offspring also lived in this area and they are buried in Eltham.

He died on 27th March 1936 aged 67 years.

His Interment occurred on 29th March 1936 at the old Eltham cemetery, Anderson Rd Eltham and he is buried in new plot number 547 in the Eltham General Presbyterian section [4] His occupation at time of death was stated as FARMER.

Liddle Nairn's widow Willow Harrison (Myhill) Nairn died on 25 Apr 1936 aged 65 only one month later and is buried beside him.


!!!! The firm of Nairn & Sons, located in Lincoln Road, Christchurch provided nursey plants and seeds not only to the Christchurch area but also nationally through its plant catalogue advertising in the early 1900s.

As early as the 1870s Mr D Nairn was an active member of the Christchurch Horticultural Society and a competitor in the Societ's floral competitions in which he and his teenage son, Robert were frequent prize winners.
