About Lieutenant George Stucker

DAR# A055255

George Stucker b. 1733 in Berks Co., PA and died May 6, 1780 at Grant's Fort (now Burnt Station) and was buried near where Bryan Station was located. ??George was the son of Michael Stocker of 1701 and Anna Margaretha Stephan 1700. These were Immigrants from Schaffhausen, Switzerland, lying north of the Rhine River, on the the Germany Border. It was part of Germany until 1501 I have been studying the Stucker/Stocker family cousins since 1964. Letters stating the above facts including the book, "Kentucky in Retrospect". The book states that Two Stuckers' and a woman named Mitchell were killed at the fort. Other records say the Indians told the rest to get on back to Bryan Station and then they burned Grant's Fort. I have dowsed for burials at Grant's and was not able to find any. Any help is greatly appreciated, especially documented sources.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Aug 27 2020, 19:20:11 UTC
