Lila L. Kerr

CUBA, IL - Lila L. Kerr, age 73, of 605 N. 10th St, passed away at 10:20 AM Saturday January 9, 2010 at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton, IL.

She was born December 25, 1936 at Mt. Sterling, the daughter of Bill and Audrey (Peterson) Wear. She married George W. Kerr on August 31, 1969 at Lewistown. He survives.

Also surviving are one son Roger (Brenda) Brown, of Hannibal, MO; two step daughters Sandra (Johnny) Ortega of Adair, and Connie Kerr-Moszer of Huntington Beach, CA; one brother Earl (Catherine) Wear of Rock Island, three sisters Norma Huss, and Ruth (Roy) Baker both of Quincy, and Mary Catherine (Ray) Warren of Bureau, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Kevin Brown, one great grandson Dantae Wells, and two step daughters Karen Gilleland, and Virginia Ann Lashbrook.

Lila worked at Davison Clever in Quincy for 20 years, she then worked as a CNA and Social Service Director at the Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba for 25 years. Lila was also a cake decorator. She was of Christian Faith. Lila was a member of the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 women's auxiliary. She enjoyed wood crafts and fishing.

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery at Cuba.
