Lillian Belle Grubaugh

Lillian Belle Grubaugh was born 5 Oct 1866 in Delaware County, OH to Wilson Shannon Grubaugh and Mary S. Hinton. She was the 2nd of 11 children born to this couple. Lillian married Frank Beckley Corbin on 30 Oct 1890. Frank had previously married Mary M. Basiger on 2 Jul 1884 in Delaware County, OH. That couple did not have any children, and they divorced shortly after the marriage. Lillian and Frank had three children. The first child, Franklin Corbin, died shortly after birth in 1891. The second child, Ruth Frances Corbin, was born on 11 Feb 1892. The third child, a boy, died at birth on 28 Dec 1894.

Frank died in 1912, but Lillian never remarried. She worked in the insurance and real estate business. She died on 17 Nov 1935 in Delaware, Delaware, OH primarily as a result of an accidental fall down the stairs, when she broke her neck.

Lillian's daughter, Ruth, lived with Lillian for many years and when Lillian finally died, Ruth was committed to the state hospital for the insane where she remained until she died on 10 Jan 1964. Ruth never married.
