Obituary MRS. A. R. BOYES. THE many friends of Mrs Al bert Ross Boyes, of McDonald street, Colac, regretted to hear of her death, which took place last Tuesday. Mrs Boyes, by her cheerful and lovable disposition, had won a wide circle of friends. She was born in Camperdown, being the third daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Donald McLean, former well known and respected residents of Camperdown, and sister of Mrs T. F. Little, Walls street, Camperdown. Mrs Boyes was also married in. Camperdown. The first 10 years of her married life were spent in Cororooke ~and Alvie. Later the family lived in Geelong for a brief period, and for the past 20 years Mrs Boyes had been a resident of Colac. Mrs Boyes took a keen interest in the various women's organisations, and was ever ready to assist in any worthy cause. She was president of the Colac East State school mothers' club for several years. Mrs Boyes was also a member of the Country Women's Association and the Colac Patriotic Auxiliary, and took a very keen, interest in bowls, being a prominent member of the Colac Central Ladies' Bowling Club. She was also a steward in., the industrial section of the Colac shows. With her very kindly nature, Mrs Boyes was a great comfort, to her friends in time of trouble and sickness. Many will miss the passing of" this very fine lady. In addition to her husband she leaves a grown-up family to mourn their irreparable loss. One of her sons (Donald) is with the R.A.A.F. The sympathy of all will be extended to the family. The funeral took place last Wednesday afternoon, when the large gathering showed the high esteem in which she had been held. The remains were interred in the Colac cemetery,. Among the many beautiful floral tributes were wreaths from the W.M. officers and brethren, Colac Mark Lodge; Colac Hospital Linen Guild: president and members of C.W.A., Colac branch; president and members of the Colac Central Ladies' Bowling Club; Geelong and District Milk Producers' Association; the employees of Park View Dairy and Milk Bar; directors and general manager of Colac Dairying Company; W.M., officers and members of Warrions Lodge; Free Kindergarten Committee; Colac East School Committee; Charles Stewart and Co.; The Colac Players; State Electricity Commission Officers' Association. The coffin-bearers wvere Messrs Alan and Donald Boyes (sons), Arthur and Alex. Boyes (nephews), Peter McBride (nephew), and Alan Parslow. The pall was supported by Messrs T. P. Hennigan, J. J. Ryan, F. White, C. Trew, O. M. Williams, T. Gardner, J. Leach, N. Pyle, A. Hall, 'J. D. McBride, D. Gellie; E. Muir, D. Spalding, R. Cole, R. J. Erwin, R. Wilson, E. Gaylard. The Rev. Matear held a service at the home and also at the graveside.
