About Lillian B. Sauer
Lillian Sauer, formerly of Waco, entered into eternal life Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, in Westerville, Ohio. Services were held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, Ohio.
Lillian was born in Sheboygan, Wis., to the late Robert J. and Rosalia Manthey Werner. She attended Wisconsin schools and married George H. Sauer on Aug. 19, 1940, at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, better known as the Little Church Around the Corner, in New York City. She moved to Westerville, Ohio, in May 2008, to live with her daughter and be close to family. Lillian was a long-time member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Waco, active in women's activities and in St. Alban's guild. She also served as Secretary of St. Alban's Memorial School Board. She held a lifetime membership with Providence hospital Auxiliary and as a member of its Executive Board served as secretary and corresponding secretary. She chaired the Information Desk for nearly 14 years before retiring in 2003 with over 15,500 hours.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1994.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Dana Keifer and husband, Jerry; son, George Sauer Jr.; grandsons, Jeff and his wife, Laurie and Greg and his wife, Laurie; five great-grandsons, Kyle, Mathew, Haiden, Reed and Maddox, all of Westerville, Ohio; her sister, Joyce Harnett and her family, of Felton, Calif.; and her brother, Robert Werner and his wife, Lee, and their family, of Sheboygan, Wis.
