LORENE ODOM Mrs. Lorene (Meme) Odom, 89, of Ennis died Monday, April 21, at an Ennis care center. She was born November 11, 1913 in Itasca, daughter of Milton and Bob Ann Smith. She grew up in the Itasca area. She married Rev. Vannie Odom May 21, 1938, and he preceded her in death October 2, 1995. She lived in Hubbard from 1964 to 1994 before moving to Waxahachie, Alvarado and then Ennis. She was a member of Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church of Hubbard. Survivors include: two sons, John Odom of Arlington and Jerry Odom and wife, Martha, of Mesquite; two sisters, Oliva Young of Granbury and Courtney Odom of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, April 24) at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.
