[Lipman] Heilbut

His father's name and the period in which he lived strongly suggests that he is a son of Isaac who belongs to the second generation of Heilbut in Hamburg. I have reconstructed his name in German (Lipman). His signature was added at a later stage to the signatures of the founders of the Chevro Kadischo in 1670 (see Salomon Goldschmidt, Geschichte der Beerdigungs-Brüderschaft der Deutsch-Israelitischen Gemeinde in Hamburg (Hamburg: Siegmund Nissensohn, 1912), p. 19). According to his tombstone he died at an old age (ישיש וזקן) and was one of the first to arrive for minyan (עם עשרה ראשונים מזומן).
