Joseph Wheeler had a daughter of the right age to be this Lois, was of New Fairfield, and no other marriage for this Lois has been found.
!Was put in prison in Connecticut for harboring her husband, a Loyalist, during the Revolution. He got her out of prison and took her to Long Island, New York, behind British lines, where she died
