Lois Marion Cover Mohler, 81, of Ripon died Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.

Mrs. Mohler was a native of Ripon. She lived in Ripon three years and in Modesto 64 years before returning to Ripon 14 years ago. She graduated from Modesto High School in 1941. She was a member of Old Brethren Church of Salida. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading.

She is survived by her children, Glen Shirk of Ripon, Dorothy Moore and Doris Moore, both of Hughson, and Mary Ann Fassler of Fortuna; stepchildren, Suzanne Overholtzer and Sharon Burrage, both of Modesto, and Thomas Mohler and John Mohler, both of Ellensburg, Wash.; brothers, Rudolph Cover of Ripon, Chester Cover of Clovis, and Joseph Cover and Leslie Cover, both of Tuolumne City; sister, Anna Mae Bither of West Covina; and 14 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alexander Shirk and Daniel W. Mohler; one step-grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto, with burial at Wood Colony Cemetery, Modesto. Visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
