About Longbottom Barraclough
"Longbottom Barraclough was born in January 1811 at Wibsey in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England to William Barraclough and Ann Barraclough (nee Tordoff). In 1838 he started work as a teacher, becoming Master of Topcliffe Free Grammar School (Topcliffe is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England). He married Jane Hurst at Northallerton in Hambleton, Yorkshire on 12 January 1842. Longbottom died at Topcliffe on 5 August 1855" (Biography by Debbie McCauley).
