Baldwin Wake was the son of Baldwin Wake and Agnes du Hommet. He married Isabel de Briwere, daughter of William de Briwere. He died on 20 July 1213, allegedly killed by a crossbow bolt before while besieging a castle in Gascony. Feudal Lord of Bourne. In 1207 he was apparently imprisoned by King John Before 1210 he was pardoned and regranted his English lands, retaining also his Guernsey ones but losing his Norman ones (his efforts to retain which by currying favour with the French probably occasioning his quarrel with King John) following the overrunning of King John's territory in Normandy by the French in 1206.
