Loretta Hartsog, went to be with the Lord on February 24th 2018.

Loretta was born April 11, 1926, in Jonben, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Tolliver and Nelly Isabella Williams Tolliver.

Loretta retired from Hollywood Elementary where she worked as a cook for 20 years. Previously, she was machinist who made bullets during World War II.

Loretta was an artist who loved painting. She also volunteered at the Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia where she demonstrated and taught quilting for many years. She also enjoyed the West Virginia Miners baseball games, bowling, playing slot machines and traveling. Loretta was a long time resident of MacArthur, West Virginia.

Loretta was a member of the United Methodist Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Buford Hartsog. Her parents Charles Tolliver and Nelly Isabella Tolliver. Her brothers, Robert Tolliver, Charles Tolliver, James Tolliver, and Roland Tolliver; sisters, Thelma Phillips, Orvie Virginia Tolliver, Margie Buttrick, Dorothy Wardrup, Laura Charlotte Farley, and Arzella Cox. She was also proceeded in death by her great granddaughter Gracelynn Elizabeth Dawn Bennett.

Loretta was survived by her two sons, James Buford Hartsog and wife Kim Hartsog of Colorado, Jerry Hartsog and wife Lori Hartsog of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and a daughter Gina Hartsog Bennett and husband Stephen Bennett of Beckley West Virginia. Five grandchildren, Joshua Hartsog of Midway, Zachary Hartsog and fiancée Miki Payne, Nicole Bennett Henry and husband Michael and Andrew Bennett and wife Ariel, all from Beckley, and Felicia Bennett Lester and husband Jon, of Mabscott and 12 great grandchildren.
