Lorraine Tome, age 76, of 8323 Old Route 17, Salamanca, New York died Thursday morning, April 29, 2010 at her home following a long illness.
Born on November 15, 1933 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late DeForest & Lillian Jimerson Billy Sr. She was married to Mr. Edward Tome who predeceased her on November 14, 2006.
She was employed in the Deli Department at Parkview Supermarket for 25 years prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Tome was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Deer Clan. She enjoyed flower gardening, bowling, slots, bingo, Yankee's baseball, NASCAR, and animals.
Surviving are: 2 daughters, Cheryl (Craig Hall) Tome, Sunfish Road, Steamburg, New York, Loretta (Peter) Huson, Brant, New York; 3 sons, Steven Tome, Kieran Tome, Michael Tome, all of Salamanca, New York; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including 3 special nieces, Rae Jones, Jimersontown, New York, Mae Lindstrom, Jamestown, New York, Sharon Miles, York, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Harry Tome, Willow Creek, Pa.; many special friends.
She was predeceased by a son, Louis Tome in 1975, 4 brothers, DeForest Billy Jr., Wilford Billy, Donald Billy, Glenn Jimerson, 6 sisters, Delma Greene, Eleanor Davis, Lucille Billy, Geraldine Jones.
