Biography
Louis Doiron was a son of the "original" Doiron, Jean Doiron (from France) and Jean's first wife (also from France), Marie-Anne Canol. Louis' parents met in Acadie at Pentagouet (Penobscot), Maine, where Jean had arrived as a soldier & drummer with a group of about 50 persons in 1670, followed in 1671 by Marie-Anne in a group of 30 men& women. Apparently they married at Port Royal, but didn't move theretill sometime before 1686, when they already had 6 sons & a daughter. At Port Royal, they brought the number of offspring up to 10.
Louis and his twin brother Jacques were born about 1689<ref>White, Stephen A., Patrice Gallant, and Hector-J Hébert. Dictionnaire Généalogique Des Familles Acadiennes.
