According to Stanley Kreinik (Nov 2013), Great Uncle Louis Feiler lived in Detroit. He gave his young nephews, Walter Kreinik (Stanley's father), Moe Kreinik (Stanley's uncle) and Chaim Sternlicht (a brother-in-law to Walter and Moe) this advice: Shave your beards and wear these American clothes so you can walk across the Friendship Bridge early Monday with the autoworkers. Carry Detroit newspapers under your arms. None of them spoke any English. Chaim Sternlich didn't shave and was turned back, but Walter and Moe made it to New York as illegal immigrants for a dozen years. Louis soon arranged to get Chaim into the US by boat.
