Louisa was born in 1826 in Somerset East. She was a direct descendent of the 1820 Settlers. she helped to confine her daughter-in-law, Isabella Sampson/Scott/Gobey/Flowers with the birth of Douglas.

Louisa fell ill soon afterwards and died of mortification of the bowels (probably Peritonitis).

She was a woman of strong character and devoted to her family. She's buried in Adelaide.

Her daughters were all industrious: Liz - Dressmaker Adelaide - Milliner Alice - in business
