About Louisa Ek
Mrs Eck came over to America with her 5 children in August of 1888. She was envolved in a collishion of her ship the THINGVALLA with the GEISER. , unfortunately the Geiser sank loosing many passengers. She was rescued by a German steamer WIELAND and taken to New York
She wired her family in Johnstown and I quote from the Tribune"news that may well be imagined brought unbounded joy to the hearts of the dear ones here in Johnstown."
