We regret having to report the death on Monday last of Mrs. L. Medley at the residence of her son, Mr. William Medley, 73 Alma-terrace, Newport. Deceased was a member of the L.O.L. Ladies' Lodge No. 24, and the sisters of this lodge acted as pall bearers at the cemetery. Deceased leaves two grown-up sons to mourn their loss. Mrs. Louisa Medley was born in England, and was a colonist for 65 years. -The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon to the Williamstown Cemetery. The Rev. Robinson (Church of England) delivered impressive services at the house and graveside. and Nelson Bros, had charge of the funeral arrangements.

The pall-bearers were Mr. and Mrs. J. Scarffe, Mesdames Banton, Rohl, Eade, and Miss Hambridge. Mrs. Eade, P.M., read the lodge service.
