Louisa Melvina (King) Snow (1821 – 1850), daughter of William King (1767 - 1824) and Lucy Snow (1786 - 1848), was born 21 January 1824 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, shortly after her father died. She was raised in Boston and also in Pomfret, Vermont, where many relatives lived. Louisa married her cousin, Bernard Snow (1822 - 1893) on 24 November 1841 in Boston.

  1. stillborn boy Snow (November 1842 Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts - November 1842 Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts )
  2. Sidney Alfred Snow (13 April 1844 Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts - 19 October 1852 Salt Lake City)

Their first child was stillborn one year later in November 1842 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her mother, Lucy Snow King, wrote to her sister, Edna King Farnsworth of the loss of the baby and Louisa's poor health.

Bernard and Louisa Snow were in the Wilford Woodruff Company of 1850. She died in July at Winter Quarters [present Omaha], Douglas County, Nebraska Territory. The company reached Salt Lake in October 1850 and he evidently went on to California around the time of the Gold Rush. He was enumerated in the 1850 Census about November.
