Name came from article published in Daily Word, January 4, 2018. Reports Louise Metisse as having married Dr. Grolee according to baptismal records found at St. Landry Catholic Church. July 3, 1833 petition filed at St. Landry Parish Probate Court to settle his estate. No heirs were listed. July 18, 1833, Thomas H Lewis was appointed curator of the estate

Metisse means multi-racial - a description, not necessarily a last name. Several other family trees give Fontenot as a last name. This is just to try to see if I can track Louise.
