PIONEER'S RITES TOMORROW Mrs. Louise Ganahl Will Be Carried to Last Resting Place by Grandsons Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Ganahl, widow of F. J. Ganahl, pioneer lumberman of Southern California, who died Monday at her home, 133 North Alexandria street, after an illness lasiing seven weeks, w : be conducted tomorrow at 9 a.m. at St, Kevin's Church in Beverly Hills. Interment will he In Calvary Cemetery with Mrs. Genahl's grandsons serving as pallbearers. city what ls-now known as Syca Mrs. Ganahl was born 1n St, Louis, Mo., November 8. 1850. She was the daughter of Nicholas Le Bran, member of the noted Le Brun family of France, long famous for Its &re&t musicians and painters. Le Erun was a former director of the first St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. He was the com-paser and director of Abraham Lincoln's funeral march. After receiving an education in France Mrs. Ganahl returned to St. Louis and in 1871 was married. Six years later she moved her residence to Los Angeles. Her home was at th old Ganahl estate in Highland Park, one of the earliest euatrs between Los Angeles' and Pasadena. The GanRhls ga"vo to the more urove. . Mrs. Ganahl was widely acquainted among the pioneers of Southern California. She devoted most of her time to the interests of her family and close friends. She was the mother of eleven children, nine of whom are left. She also leaves nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Ganahl's children are Lu-clen A. Ganahl of Santa' Barbara.
