Louise de Pisseleu

BIOGRAPHY Louise was the daughter of Guillaume de Pisseleu, seigneur d'Heilly, and his third wife Madeleine de Laval-Montmorency. Her half-sister Anne, duchesse d'Etampes, from her father's second marriage, was a mistress of François I, king of France. Louise received the lordship of Beaucamps-le-Jeune from her half-brother Adrien, son of her father's first marriage.

No doubt benefiting from the immense influence at Court of her sister Anne, on 29 February 1540 Louise made a prestigious match with Gui I Chabot de Saint-Gelais, baron de Jarnac, seigneur de Montlieu, son of Charles Chabot, baron de Jarnac, and Jeanne de Saint-Gelais. Louise and Gui had three children of whom a son Leonor and daughter Jeanne would have progeny. Louise died before 1563.
