Son of William Burke and Fanny Xavier Tucker.
Officer in the 13th Regiment. He fought in the Crimean War. and the Indian Mutiny.
He retired from the military, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.1
Succeeded as the 13th Baronet Bourke, of Glinsk, co. Galway [I., 1628] on 21 July 1884.
