Lieutenant Colonel George W. Paschal, Junior, 2nd Texas Cavalry Regiment, United States Army.
Lt. Col. George W. Paschal, Jr., 2nd Texas Cavalry Regiment, United States Army. Paschal, son of (Lorenzo Columbus) George Washington Paschal and his Cherokee wife, Sarah (Ridge) Paschal, was born in Craw, Arkansas. His father served on the Arkansas Supreme Court and was active in Texas politics in the 1860s. Paschal, Jr. was from a very pro-Union family, and he was strongly opposed to secession. He served with one of the two Federal regiments from an otherwise Confederate Texas. Source: Lawrence T. Jones III.
