James Isaac Christiancy (1844-December 18, 1899), was First Lieutenant, United States Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor during the American Civil War.

Medal of Honor

The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to First Lieutenant James Isaac Christiancy, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 28 May 1864, while serving with Company D, 9th Michigan Cavalry, in action at Hawes Shops, Virginia. While acting as aide, First Lieutenant Christiancy voluntarily led a part of the line into the fight, and was twice wounded.
