John Weeks was married to Abigail Forse or Foss (about 1700 to about 1762), daughter of Thomas Foss. According to one source, John and Abigail "were buried in the Piper cemetery just up the road from the homestead" in Sanbornton where they had moved in 1755.
John and Abigail had eight children. Their third child John Weeks (1732 - 1804) "served in the Revolutionary War and rose to the rank of lieutenant under Capt. Archibald McAllister and Col. Jones in the 3rd Lincoln County Regiment in Maine."
