About Lt. Marcelo Banas Javier
Marcelo was a member of the ROTC Hunters Unit. He was killed by Japanese soldiers during the liberation of Manila (10 February 1945), along with his father-in-law Captain Miguel Bonifacio and his wife's brother-in-law Maj. Charles Pollard.
He and his wife Leticia established Kamuning Bakery in 1939. Kamuning Bakery was the very first bakery in Quezon City. It was sold to Wilson Lee Flores in 2013.
