Lt. William Warwick

Biography

Lt. William Warwick was born on November 26, 1690 in Virginia. His father was Matthew Warwick. He was a Rev. soldier/surveyor, Rev.War soldier/surveyor.

William married Elizabeth Anne Warwick Sitlington circa 1732 in Probably Virginia. Together they had the following children:
Martha Ann Stevenson;
William Warwick;
James Warwick;
Charles Warwick;
Maj. Jacob Warwick;
John Warwick;
Elizabeth Warwick.

He died in 1764 in North Atlantic Ocean from Died on board a ship for England and was buried at sea..

Morton, 1917, p. 202: William Warwick came from Williamsbur g and married Elizabeth Dunlap. His sons were Charles and John. The latter was a scout in th e Indian war and went to Kentucky in 1789. Capt. Jacob Warrick, a son, was killed at Tippecan oe, and Warrick County, in Indiana, is named for him. General Harrison complimented his compa ny by saying he had never seen a finer body of men. Major Jacob Warwick owned for a while th e Fort Dinwiddie farm. He moved to Pocahontas about 1800. Three sons-in-law were Charles E. During the French and Indian War, he served in Capt. Geo rge Wilson's Company of Augusta Militia.
