About Lucien "Louis" Paul Pattenaude
Lucien "Louis" Paul Pattenaude was born on 16 May 1848 in St. Valentine, Quebec, Canada to Albert Patenaude and Tharsile Ste. Marie.
Louis left home at the age of sixteen to join the U.S. Army. They rejected his application due to his age. When he turned eighteen, he reapplied under the alias of Joseph Trombley. Joseph fought in the 7th New Hampshire Infantry during the Civil War.
Louis married Delina Drouillard on 23 May 1870 at St. Joseph's Church on River Canard, Essex Co., Ontario, Canada. Their witnesses were Joseph Dufour and Philomene Drouillard, Father Marseille presiding. They lived next door to Delima's parents in 1871. Louis and Delina have twelve children: Albert, Calixte, Fredrick, Thercile, Alice, Louis, Joseph, Paul, Felix, Ernest, Clement, and George. The family lived at 19 Riopelle in Ecorse, Michigan.
Louis died on 20 Jan 1929 at the home of his son, Calixte in Detroit, Michigan. Funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Lourdes in River Rouge, Michigan. He was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan next to his wife. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=89681268
