Wife of Attorney Francis Percival McIntire. Mother of six children. Helped found the local League of Women Voters and the Junior League of Savannah (their first president). Co-founder of Historic Savannah, Inc. Also served as President of the Savannah Suffrage Association and the Georgia Federation of Women's Club. Served as the first Georgia committeewoman on the Democratic National Committee. 1955-Named Woman of the Year and given the Groves Award. 1958-Given Savannah's highest civic award, the Oglethorpe Trophy. 1997-Honored as the sixth inductee to Georgia's Women of Achievement.
