Mrs. Lucy H. Alden, who for fifty years has been a resident of this city died yesterday morning at 11:30 o'clock at her home, 153 South Main street.
The cause of her demise was pneumonia, she having been ill but five days. By her death Janesville loses one of her earliest and most highly esteemed residents. For the past year Mrs. Alden has not been in the best of health and during this time she was tenderly and lovingly cared for by her only child, a son, who was constantly by her side, administering to her wants. She was seventy-two years of age and besides a son - John Alden - leaves a sister in Chicago and a brother who resides near Whitewater. Mr. Aden died twenty-seven years ago...
