Mrs. Lucy Elliott, the 84 year old sister of William Waukay, is #967 on the 1907 Wooster Roll. Her traditional name is recorded as "Oshkikwe" meaning "New Woman" but to understand the significance and context of that information the translation requires scrutiny and comment by those with expertise in Anishinaabemowin and Potawatomi culture. Lucy Elliott's husband is not named in the 1907 Wooster Roll, presumably since he was deceased by that date, so she is named as head of family and appears to have been living alone at Cape Croker Reservation where she held full rights in Canada.
